Preliminary Programme (subject to change depending on number of participants)

The programme begins officially with the opening session on 6th January 2008 at 3.30 pm in the Faculty of Education. A detailed programme for the course will be given to participants at registration. The course ends on Sunday, 13th January at lunchtime.

During the course there will be 30 hours of teaching time shared across the three modules. There will be 24 hours of contact time in this total, some tutorial time and some individual working time. The balance of the time given to the three modules and the group sizes will depend on the numbers of participants. Saturday morning, 20th January will be free and on that afternoon there will be a guided tour around Prague for participants. There will also be cultural events during the week and a visit to a primary school.

Each participant is expected to describe their national educational system and/or their school assessment system or local application of the national system, to the rest of the participants. It would be helpful if you could prepare some form of display, which would help your contribution and clarify the system for the other members.
